2017 Update - February

K K R North - Projects Progress

Western Reads - I started this one last year and only reviewed one book.  I've been trying to figure out how to get AdSense on it, but no success.  So i'm planning to get an Amazon Associate account and try that.   It's address is www.westernreads.com.  I plan to review another book this month...and hopefully more frequently.

All Things Pie-licious! -  This one's on hold.  I'm just going to have to wait until I have a kitchen that is all to myself because when I tried to get started on baking pies, I had 'help' that was not part of my plan.  My plan is that I do everything myself; from learning how to do pie crust and so forth. It's address is allthingspielicious.com.

Yester Reads - This one is on hold until I can get the knack of doing regular blogs and working out all of the Amazon affiliate/Google AdSense details and connections to Facebook and Twitter.  In this particular blog, I will be reviewing old chapbooks and novels.  And by old, I mean fiction going back to the 15th century and on up to the 19th century.  It's address will be www.yesterreads.com

The Lil' Rhino Gazette - Many family members and friends remember the days when I published my alternative music fanzine titled The Lil' Rhino Gazette.  I published it from 1986 to 1998.  I intend to resurrect a form of it in a blog.  I've been playing around with a scanner and doing some research in how to deliver online copies via PDF for a fee. This is one that I am currently working on -- mainly scanning copies -- and do plan to launch this year.   I did find the original galleys (sort of).  Somehow, they ended up at my brother-in-laws storeroom at his business place.  I say 'sort of' because I don't have them yet.  I'm waiting on them to be delivered.   The blog address will be www.lilrhinogazette.com.

Clock Boy's Geek Toys - Readers of The Lil' Rhino Gazette will remember Clock Boy. He was a cartoon character (don't tell him I said that) I created for the fanzine review section.  He reviewed tons of fanzines.  I plan to re-purpose Clock Boy to review geek toys.  I'm no whiz at using graphics programs to draw, so I plan to draw Clock Boy in a couple of poses and then find someone that can render them into jpegs for me.  His address will be www.clockboysgeektoys.com.  This one may be on hold for awhile -- at least until the 'Clock Boy' who created the 'fake bomb' in Irving story dies down.

Understanding the Book of Daniel - Technically this is not a blog, but I am using a blog page to advertise this e-book that I launched over a year ago.  It's currently only available on Kindle. You can visit it at www.understandingthebookofdaniel.com and order it for your Kindle for $9.99.   I'm also trying to figure out how to offer a print on demand copy.  This is something Amazon is offering now, but I have yet to take time to research it.

Rightly Dividing Resources - I may abandon this.  Instead, I may start a Berean Bible review blog instead...or maybe it a Facebook page reviewing rightly dividing books and maybe some other Christian books.

Facebook Pages

I started a political page some have already 'liked'.  Other Facebook things i'm working on is a patriotic accessories page; possibly a Christian/rightly dividing page and a facebook page of reviews of conservative books.  My first task is to get an Amazon Associate Affiliates account.

Postcards

I have been collecting vintage postcards from ebay and antique shops.  I've been scanning these. I plan to re-purpose these postcards by making them available for sale online as newly designed postcards, greeting cards, postage stamps, coffee mugs and whatever else strikes my fancy. This is on hold until I can get some of these other projects off the ground.
